Imagined by Lymon F. Sise, the architect who designed the Pinehurst Resort and the Fair Barn, and originally built in 1916, Eagle on 5 (formerly known as Cotton Cottage) is like taking a step back into a more genteel time. When you enter the foyer from the front porch, you’ll immediately feel a sense of tranquility. Our premier property is located in the heart of the charming village of Pinehurst, NC, and guests have are steps away from boutiques, eateries, and the Resort.

Eagle on 5 was recently renovated in 2021 to restore and highlight the period craftsmanship throughout the home, while providing luxury updates that our discerning guests look for. Perfect for multi-generational families, we offer 8 spacious bedrooms, and 6 full baths.

LIVING AREAS:

Graced with multiple living areas, guests can always find a spot that perfectly suits their mood. The main Living room boasts leather furnishings, complemented by gleaming hardwood floors, classic wainscoting and decor. An HDTV with WiFi is perfect for unwinding at the end of the day with friends and family. Keep a fire burning in the fireplace for a relaxed atmosphere.

Just off the Living room is the Game room, with a luxe 6-person poker table for hands-on competition, as well as an Infinity game table for the digital enthusiasts.

An upstairs library offers a cozy space to curl up in one of two side chairs and peruse one of the many titles on the shelves.

The second level also has a comfortable Family room complete with Kitchenette, boasting another designerleather sofa, HDTV, and a fireplace for ambiance.

We’ve added 7 brand new large Samsung Smart TVs throughout the home. Three are in the common rooms, with the 4 in the main bedrooms. They all have Spectrum Gold Live TV and streaming services. We also have Spectrum Gig Internet with an expansive Orbi mesh network for superior service throughout the home.

Please note: We will consider up to 2 well-behaved, house-trained dogs for an additional refundable fee of $200. Tell us about your dog(s) and let’s decide together if he/she is a good fit for our home. We’re sorry that we’re unable to allow cats.

KITCHEN & DINING:

The Kitchen recently underwent an extensive renovation and has become a true chef’s domain, with a 48'' gas stove, 3 sinks, 2 dishwashers, a dual-zone beverage refrigerator, and a separate coffee station area that’s also easily set up as the perfect cocktail bar!

The large peninsula bar in the Kitchen seats 8, while the adjacent breakfast table seats an additional 4. In the formal dining room, you’ll find a large table for 10. Wherever you decide to enjoy your meal, you’ll no doubt be savoring a delicious meal.

BEDROOMS & BATHS:

Eagle on 5 has 8 bedrooms, 6 full baths, and 2 half baths, and can comfortably accommodate a total of 20 people. All bedrooms are on the second floor and feature new luxury mattresses.

Primary Bedroom Suite 1: King Bed and private ensuite bath with dual walk-in shower and restored cast iron clawfoot tub, original to the home.

Primary Bedroom Suite 2: Queen Bed with ensuite bathroom.

Guest Room 3: King bed with access to a Jack and Jill bath

Guest Room 4: Queen bed, plus a custom-built bunk with Twin XL over a Queen that also includes twin XL trundle. Shares the Jack and Jill bath with Guest Room 3.

Guest Room 5: King bed, shares hall bath with Guest Room 6

Guest Room 6: King Bed, shares hall bath with Guest Room 5

Guest Room 7: Queen Bed, shares hall bath with Guest Room 8

Guest Room 8: Queen Bed, shares hall bath with Guest Room 7

Guest Rooms 7 and 8 have their own separate staircase!

For our youngest guests, the room off the Master features a full-size crib and changing table with a new organic mattress and sheets.

Both half baths are on the first floor, and the full bath is adjacent to the indoor Pool area.

OUTDOOR AMENITIES:

Eagle on 5 offers a number of amenities that are sure to please all our guests.

Although it’s not outside, one of the favorite guest amenities is our indoor pool, heated year-round to a balmy 83°. There’s also a full bath and comfy lounge area – which means this space is always a hit!

We’ve recently installed a Viking hot tub for 8, perfect for the soothing evening soak, after a long day of golf or exploring the area.

And it’s easy to enjoy an al fresco family picnic for 6 with a large BBQ Grill, that has it’s very own dedicated gas line!

If you’re not at the Grill, try your hand at our Corn hole game while you’re waiting for dinner!

PLEASE NOTE: No smoking or vaping. Minimum age to rent is 30. Our property is considered part of the Village of Pinehurst so Guests are kindly reminded that quiet hours are from 10pm – 7am, and we ask that this courtesy is respected.

Pinehurst offers a charming, small-town atmosphere, complete with Southern hospitality. Those interested in Equestrian activities and Golf will find this area particularly engaging.

And there is plenty more to love about Pinehurst: shopping, antiquing, or best yet, a day at the Pinehurst Resort Spa! The wide variety of restaurants available is enough to satisfy any palate. Some of our particular favorites are the Pine Scone Cafe, the Agora Bakery & Cafe, the Pinehurst Brewery, Drum & Quill Pub, Lisi Italian restaurant.

Some of our favorite things to do in the area include The Village Arboretum and the Sandhills Horticultural Gardens, Rassie Wicker Park and the Camelot Playground, Harness Racing at the Fair Barn, the Aloha Safari, and of course, the Pinehurst Village, the Resort and the Spa.
